JW Marriott Miami

Check in was easy. I booked 2 rooms on points and they greeted me just as nice as when I’m paying their regular rate. It was New Year’s Eve and they gave my family complimentary access to their lounge and breakfast. I wish all the Marriotts have same standards of practice. If you are staying at Miami Brickell, check in at this hotel.

My stay was for two nights and it was lovely. The rooms are not the typical modern decor. Everything was clean and well maintained. Jessica assisted me at the front desk. She took note of my of my birth date and sent me a card and dessert to celebrate. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Our room was very clean. The bed is comfortable. We waited in the executive lounge before our room was ready. It needs to be renovated. I don’t think it lives up to JW Marriott standards. If no renovations are possible, at least shampoo the furniture, wipe down things like the fridge doors, etc. I was worried that our room was going to be dirty and dated but I was very very relieved and pleasantly surprised! This is a perfect stay pre or post cruise. We also had a great city view.

Stayed here after getting off a cruise. It is a great location with things to do within walking distance. The room was clean and modern. There are other areas of the hotel that need improvement such as the lounge in the 21st floor and updates to the other common areas. As far as the staff, the front desk worker was great and got us a room to check in earlier so that was appreciated. The lady checking the minibar seemingly needs to learn to wait for the guest to open the door without repetitively knocking and then just entering.

decent good. One thing need improvement: the toilet lift on the tank is low and there is a rack quite deep on top. Hit my head every time when I am flush the toilet. For reference I am 5feet 7 inches tall

One flaw. The elevators. Slow and only 2 were operational. But other than that the staff was great. Rooms and beds were comfortable and close to everything. Loved my stay!

Husband booked a staycation here for my birthday weekend. No kids!!! Yayyyy. Funny story though, we actually went to JW Marriott Marquis Miami first thinking this was where we had our reservations. They couldn’t find our reservation and that’s when they let us know we were probably booked at the JW Marriott Miami, which is 6 minutes away from the Marquis. DUDE!!! Honestly, they should change JW Marriott Miami to JW Marriott Brickell as it is located in the heart of Brickell and walking distance to everything! It’s super confusing! JW Marriott Miami is located in an ideal location in Brickell. We were walking distance to Brickell City Centre and almost everything else. The style and decor here is a bit more classic compared to JW Marquis’ modern and contemporary vibes. Still a beautiful hotel because it’s JW Marriott. We had a lovely corner room with gorgeous windows overlooking Brickell. Loved the natural lighting during the day and the beautiful downtown view at night. Got a complimentary fruit dish and super size Voss sparkling water in our room too. Nice touch. Our stay also included complimentary buffet breakfast at Isabela’s for the duration of our stay which was 3 days/2 nights. They have plenty of seating in the main dining room and a nice patio area too. Overall, a lovely hotel and perfect for our weekend staycation.

A quick note on my recent stay at JW Marriott Miami on Brickell Avenue. I have stayed at this property several times, and this visit was noticeably different — in a very positive way. The biggest difference was the staff. Alexis at the front desk was exceptional: gracious, professional, and genuinely helpful. I arrived early, and he handled everything extremely well — assisted while I waited, facilitated breakfast, supported access to the business center, and ultimately arranged a very good room. His manner set the tone for the stay. I also met Keisha, one of the property managers, who was equally charming and added positively to the overall experience. The staff in both restaurants were also very good — friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. The location remains excellent, the property is strong, but this time the service stood out. I heard negative comments in the past from business colleagues about this hotel, which is why the experience was noticeable to me. Whatever management is doing, it is showing. This was one of my best stays here, and the management and team deserves credit.
